HIM is a Finnish rock band from Helsinki, formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko Lindström, and bassist Mikko Paananen. They have released six full length albums to date, with their seventh, Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice, scheduled to be released on February 9, 2010. On September 5, 2006, HIM's fifth studio album Dark Light was certified gold by the RIAA, making HIM the first Finnish band to have a gold album in the United States. HIM had five of their studio albums certified platinum in Finland with Razorblade Romance being certified double platinum in Finland and platinum in Germany.

Ville Hermanni Valo (born November 22, 1976), is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and frontman of the Finnish rock band HIM. Valo was also the drummer for the Daniel Lioneye project. Ville has a baritone vocal range.

Mikko Viljami Lindström (born 12 August 1976) is the lead guitarist of the Finnish rock band, HIM. Lindström is commonly called by his nickname, Linde.

Mikko Henrik Julius Paananen (born 19 December 1974), better known as Migé, is the current bassist of the rock band HIM.

Janne Johannes Puurtinen, better known as Emerson Burton, is the current keyboard-player in the Finnish rock band, HIM. He was born 17 October 1974, in Helsinki.

Mika Kristian Karppinen, better known as Gas Lipstick (born 8 February 1971), is currently the drummer for the rock band HIM.
