Through out the past few years Miami has shown much growth from it's breed of emcee's since Uncle Luke first arrived in the early 90's. More and more you are starting to listen to the byproduct of HipHop at it's rawest form combined with the sound engineering of today. In the trenches of all this is, Miami native DaVincci is someone who is creating a positive buzz along side the Miami Beat Wave production team. Leo "DaVincci" Mayorga was born in Leon, Nicaragua in January of 1982 and was brought to the US during the nations civil war. Even though his relationship with music always something visible he never took anything serious until 2005 where he began to learn to make beats using Reason.
In 2008 DaVincci was introduced to Chip Williams, Brandan Toledo & St. LaRok better known as Miami Beat Wave. After a few projects and a mixtape together (Sneak Peek Mixtape) the crew became a four headed monster. Working alongside the team has opened doors to working with some of Miami's elite such as ¡MAYDAY! ("Let's Pretend" & "Red Carpet Affair" remixes), Grammy Nominated lead singer of Loco's Por Juana Itagui Correa ("Don't Worry"), Skam2?, Omniscient & AG lyonz.
The relationship that has brought the team together also help cultivate it's own seed with REAL TALK consisting of St. LaRok & Davincci with vocals from AG Lyonz & production from MBW. Having the only feature on St. LaRok's critically acclaimed "Leap Year" EP, the track "Old Memories" showed signs of a promising duo. "Real talk represents those who still believe in this HipHop culture, those who maintain a freedom state of mind and are not afraid of evolving" DaVIncci explains. With a succesful release of MBW's compilation "The Launch" (which includes both "Old Memories" & "Ever Since" which features Tenaj) they are ready to follow it up with "Slight Modification". With features from the likes of dead prez, Skyzoo, Wrekonize, ArtOfficial, Detroit natives Guilty Simpson & Chief this compilation has taken it up a few notches from the first.
For now DaVIncci is in the works with St. LaRok for the REAL TALK project as well as his solo EP debut, Personal Contribution. "We have a few things lined up right now, we are just knocking them out little by little" says the emcee/producer "Miami really needs us right now, HipHop needs us right now".
