Brock, also known as Black Elvis is “The New Face of Hip Hop!” From the age of ten, he has been writing rhymes and performing for family and friends. Their honest opinion, feedback, and constructive criticism has aided in his growth as a lyrical tyrant. As of 2010, Brock is officially on his way. The spotlight is shining on this growing superstar. His on stage performance is as powerful and energetic as his persona.

As a youth, Brock was raised by his mother in a one bedroom apartment located in Miami, Florida. Living in some of the toughest drug –riddled, neighborhoods in Miami, Florida without a father figure in his life he began to digress to the streets. With his back against the walls of the ghetto, it was necessary for him to fight to gain respect from dealers and adversaries. In late 2005 he was shot and again early 2007. It was these encounters that lead him to believe it was time to give up the street life. After losing so many of his close friends to the streets, he decided to focus on his writing, and becoming a recording artist.

Brock is inspired by rap Icons such as the late great Tupac Shakur, Jay Z, and Lil Wayne. He feels in the entertainment business you can only be one hundred percent real about what you see, and feel. Just like the rappers that inspire him. That’s why he continues to write about what going on in his life, and in the world. A lot of people thought that after his near death episodes he would give up his passion for music; it only motivated him to strive for success. The encouraging words of his family aided in his return to music. Their uplift words continue to ring: “Whatever you do, make sure it’s your best; follow your dream, and never give up”. Brock is still on his journey to becoming one of the world’s most legendary rappers ever. He has performed all over the state of Florida from open MIC nights to opening up for The Source Magazine and WEDR 99 Jamz. He is still presenting his heartfelt lyrics in every song he composes. His current mix tape “The Illest” Volume I is hosted by DJ Young Cee, of the G-Unit/Shadyville DJ Squad. Currently, he is pushing his first Single “On My Way” featuring Reggie B. Brock, also known as Black Elvis is currently working on his debut album and collaborations. His desire is to work with some of the top artists in the industry right now such as Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, and Keri Hilson.
