Alessandra Amoroso is an Italian pop/soul singer. She was the winner of the Italian reality television show Amici di Maria De Filippi. Since her youth, Alessandra participated in numerous locally competitions, obtaining good results. Si diploma in ragioneria. She got the diploma in accountancy. On June, 2007 she participated in a contest, Fiori di Pesco, singing the song Amor mio, ranking first among the interpreters. She get rewarded by Mogul. At seventeen part in auditions for Amici di Maria De Filippi, but she was discarded after having passed different steps. On October 5 2008, passed the auditions for the eighth edition, Alessandra became part of the television program Friends of Maria De Filippi, singing the single from Alicia Keys If I Ain't Got You. Within the program, Rudy Zerbi , the chairman of Sony Music, assigned three unpublished singles to Alessandra. So, she participated in the recording of the compilation of the program, Scialla. The compilation got a good success, and Find a Way reached the fourth position , while Immobile up to the summit. On March 25th 2009, followed by the teacher of singing Luca Jurman, Alessandra was proclaimed winner of Amici, winning the first prize of 200,000 euros. On the same evening also received the critics' prize, a scholarship worth 50,000 euros. With this money, Alessandra Amoroso says she will continue to study with Luca Jurman. At the final of Amici, Alessandra presented her new single, Stupida, which gave its name to his first EP, just Stupida. The single was released on March 27 and reached the top position in the ranking FIMI. On April 10 pbblished her first EP Stupida, produced by Sony Music. The album, became gold in reservation, because of thirty-five thousand copies ordered. On April 20, Stupida won the platinum disc, and on May 23 it won double platinum disc. Alessandra was awarded the June 6th 2009 by Maria De Filippi to the casting of the new edition of Friends. On June 6, Alessandra got two Wind Music Awards for sales of her EP and for those of the compilation Scialla. On June 21 she performed at the concert Amiche per l’abruzzo, organized by Laura Pausini, at the staudium of San Siro in Milan. From June 19 to September 22, Alessandra began the dates of summers tour in which Alessandra promoted Stupid EP with various stages throughout Italy. On August 20 Alessandra recorded, during the Stupida Tour, her first sold out at Arena Ciccio Franco in Reggio Calabria. For August, Stupida has sold over 200,000 copies, thus obtaining thirteen discs of silver, five gold albums and two platinum. On July 31, Sony officially announced the date of publication of the first studio album: September 25, also with a DVD version with previously unreleased footage of behind the scenes tour. The title of the album is Senza nuvole. The album was anticipated by a new single Estranei a partire da ieri, which was broadcast in radio since August 28, with the exception of RTL 102.5, broadcast it since August 24. The single got a good succes: it ranked sixth in the Italian singles chart, twenty-second in the radio airplay, while in Europe peaked at forty-nine. On October 8, presented for the first time live disc to the "Limelight" in Milan with entry restricted to winners of various competitions set up by a Radio Kiss Kiss, sponsors - among others - the event, by Fornarina, MTV and the fansblog, plus the first buyers of the album without clouds. Fans were able to attend the screening of the concert in 37 selected cinema throughout Italy, which transmitted the event live via satellite in high definition. The album peaked at number one in fimi, the Italian albums official chart. On October 6 Senza nuvole won the first platinum disc. The second single extracted from Senza nuvole is the title-track Senza nuvole, broadcast in radio since October 16.
