Being a DJ in Miami isn't an easy task. Being a recognized DJ in Miami seems like an impossible mission. But in the case of DJ Smokey Bear, with hard work and outstanding grind ethics, he made it look simple. Beginning his career as a mixtape DJ, Christopher Theard had a vision. His vision was crisp and clear; to be Miami's hardest working DJ. Throughout the past few years, he has acheived that beyond recognition. He began with the "Straight Hood" series, which earned him an article in The Source magazine for the Straight Hood Vol. 2 mixtape. After putting out 5 volumes, he began hosting a show on w305.com where he was introduced to Big Chuck, president of Poe Boy Music Group. From there, Chuck asked Smokey Bear to join the team. Fast forward to present time, DJ Smokey Bear has done mixtapes with Miami's future allstar team, such names include Iceberg of Da Dunk Ryders, Ballgreezy, and Chaos of Grind Mode. Smokey Bear is also the official road tour DJ for Miami's latest sensation Billy Blue, and the official DJ of the east coast biggest website for music 24HourHipHop.com. And if that wasn't enough, Smokey Bear can also be found as the driver of the internet pornography-crazed, world famous Bang Bus.
