This morning, the island of Haiti shook once again.
As if it wasn't enough the first time. A 6.1 magnitude aftershock struck the island this morning. An elderly lady was quoted saying this morning "this morning, we... ran into the street" after running out of her tent which now resides outside her damaged house.
Although this isn't the first aftershock to strike, it's the one that is being talked about. My good friend, who has family over in Haiti says, "nothing really happend, because everything is already destroyed". A statement that sounds so nonchalant, but has a sad meaning. "What you see on TV is nothing compared to what is really going on", he goes on to say.
It is a very sad thing to have to see, hear, or even KNOW that it is going on. Unfortunately, we are living in these times.
My prayers go out to the people of Haiti.
